The overall goal of this practical workshop is to train students, PhD students, post-docs and southern EU and Mediterranean area researchers, farmer advisors,   practitioners to use a platform of tools to detect, identify, and ultimately prevent spread of novel species of Phytophthora.

as part of  a “Fulbright Scholar Program”, award code number 7528, Fulbright

“Fondazione con il Sud” Award for Teaching/Research.

The workshop will be hosted at the Department of Agriculture, Food and Environment (Di3A), University of Catania.

The application cost is 200 € (accommodation, board and travel expenses are not included).

The Workshop Organizing Committee will provide assistance for reserving accommodation and organizing transfer from the hotel to the Department.

A maximum of 26 participants will be admitted.

Attendees will be selected by the Workshop Organizing Committee to maximize diversity of participants.
